About

Why these roads matter

We believe a good tour is measured in arrivals, not miles. This site exists to help riders see the connection between a road and the town it was built to reach.

What we do

Pickmosaiccompassran publishes independent itineraries that link heritage towns, mountain villages, historic roads and countryside viewpoints. Each route is built around reasons to stop: a gate worth walking through, a bridge with a story, a viewpoint that explains a valley.

How routes are chosen

We favour paved roads with clear historical character, towns that welcome visitors on foot and seasons when the ride is at its best. We describe road character honestly — narrow, steep, busy — and we never present public roads as places for speed.

Independence

We are not affiliated with any tourism board, motorcycle manufacturer, hotel group or road authority, and we accept no payment for inclusion. Facts such as opening dates, tolls and access rules change; always confirm them with official sources.

About the illustrations

Our flat drawings of gates, bridges and road ribbons are decorative. They are not maps and must not be used for navigation.
